Can I Apply For Phd After Executive Mba

Ann Rice – Interview with the Vampire

On the one hand, a world-famous story very successfully screened and promoted. On the other hand, quite an ordinary novel, able to fascinate only under aged teenagers mad about vampire stories. The language is rather simple and predictable. What is the secret of the popularity then?

The belief is the answer. The story line does not leave a hint of hope but who cares about the story line? What is inside is more important, and the inside is so light and hopeful. The evil punishing and torturing itself for being what it is, the evil so charming and thoughtful – is not it a challenge for our notions of the good and the evil? These two forces that always contradict with each other have inseparably intertwined in the book. Who represents the good? Who represents the evil? These are difficult questions to answer. What we know for sure is that the notions are not as definite as we are used to. When the borders become obliterated we can hope that the evaluations of our actions are not always worthy to listen to. Inner confidence and keeping of one’s own face – these are the things that define what the good and what the evil are.
